“This chameleon is about to confess”
What color is the chameleon? My guess is, through evolution and its pure instinct to survive, the chameleon has lost its natural state, but has also acquired the muscle to camouflage into every environment it can step on.
I self-identify as a chameleon. While I have had some self-deprecating moments about my identity, it is also my survival.
Perhaps because of our similar background in having no choice but to assimilate into an opposite environment we were conditioned to, Hyeun Ho’s fixation on exploring layers of inner personas has spoken to me in depth.
카멜레온은 무슨 색일까? 카멜레온은 끝없는 진화와 생존 본능때문에 자신의 색을 잃어버렸다는 것이 나의 추측이다. 그 동시에, 카멜레온은 자신이 밟을 수 있는 모든 환경에 스며들 수 있는 근육을 얻었다.
나는 카멜레온이다. 이런 나의 모습을 자책한적도 많았지만 나는 이렇게 생존한다.
어린 나이에 익숙하지 않은 환경에서 적응해야 됬어인지 자신의 많은 페르소나들을 탐구하는 박현호 작가의 작품들이 나에게 깊게 와닿았다.
